The attendees had the opportunity to network and to gain further knowledge and understanding about creating a Culture of Accountability, the Legal Implications of Social Media, Updates on Legal Issues and Healthcare Reform, as well as the impact of Stressed Employees and Workplace Violence. SOCIAL MEDIA: WHAT ARE THE LEGAL IMPLICATIONS? Julie Kebler, Attorney and Owner of Garvey, Schubert and Bareer presented an overview on the Legal Implications of Social Media for Healthcare Organizations. Here are a few reminders for organizations to consider as Social Media becomes common place in our work settings. .. Have a company policy for e-mail, internet usage and other social media. .. Internet usage policies should be updated to accommodate change in technology. .. Counsel employees on appropriate postings and the consequences of inappropriate postings as well as use of “company equipment”, i.e. computers, cell phones and blackberries. WSHHRA has had a 21.0% increase in membership for 2010. He has traveled extensively in Southern Africa including visits to and dealing with multiple personal threat situations in high risk destinations. He became a lifetime student of personal safety and crime avoidance after surviving several assaults and a shooting. Established goal to host conferences in accessible locations for a reasonable cost including the possibility of one day conferences. i. Increase access to a variety of presenters and topics by hosting webinars. ii. 4 webinars are planned for the long winter months (one end of October, one beginning of December, one end of January, one beginning of March) heightened after an attempted home invasion and as a witness to political unrest and rioting during the 1976 Soweto uprisings.
