WSHHRA GE ERAL BUSI ESS MEETI G Meeting Minutes April 29, 2010 Skamania Lodge, Stevenson, Washington Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Steven Stahl, President-Elect at 1640 p.m. Steven gave welcome to all attendees. Modification to Agenda: None Approval of Minutes: The minutes from the Fall meeting 2009 were distributed. The minutes were accepted with no corrections. President Report: . Jolene reported a 13.5% increase in membership for 2009. This included 40 brand new members. . Website enhancements continue with the addition of paypal for renewal of membership and conference registrations. An e-nomination form will also be available soon. . Announced an opportunity to partner with neighboring chapters such as one in Oregon to share webinars. . Open Board Positions for the coming year are: President-elect, Legislative Liason and a new position, Networking & Professional Development Specialist. Treasurer Report: . Marlo Willis distributed snapshot of current finances . 30 people used paypal for conference registration. Legislative Liason Report: . Geoff Roach gave a powerpoint presentation on the Federal perspective of Issues (SHRM), Healthcare reform, and State Budget Highlights (WSHA) as well as Washington policy updates. The presentation will be available on the WSHHRA website for review. Vice President Report: . Amanda Adams reported a 13.5% increase in membership for 2009. . Membership goal for the year was 10% increase and we had a 13.5% . 2010 had 40 brand new members . 10-12 membership renewals were done online with PayPal. Plan to market the utilization of this tool for the organization. . Created google groups on the WSHHRA website to use as a list-serv for members . Steve Stahl expressed his appreciation for all who came to the meeting and conference . The next conference (Fall, 2010) will be at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Washington . Feedback was requested about the location. Suggestions were made to look at other sites such as Leavenworth, Lake Chelan and The Davenport Hotel in Spokane. ' It was confirmed that the Fall, 2010 conference will be at the Suncadia Resort. Room rate is offered at 139.00 plus resort fees.
