Member Update
Kristen Fox, SPHR, MBA
Region 9 Consultant
Kristen
graduated with a BA from the University
of Washington in
Political Science. Her goal was to work for a couple of years and
then return to school to pursue a Juris
Doctorate. A few months after graduating, Kristen had a neighbor
approach her about an open, entry-level Human Resources position at her
company. She asked if Kristen was interested. Kristen replied,
“Sure, but what is Human Resources?” Fifteen years have
gone by since that conversation and Kristen could not imagine working in
any other profession. If you were to ask her, Kristen would say that
she is part of a lucky few where her career and passion found her on that
day.
Kristen entered Healthcare Human Resources in 1999 with
a small break in employment in 2002 to go back to school for her MBA at Keller Graduate
School in Boulder, CO.
Again, Kristen believes that entering Healthcare Human Resources happened
for a reason. She knows that in her role, she is able to make a
difference and that she does have an impact on patient care and community
support. Kristen looks forward to sharing her passion with other
practitioners, helping and teaching as opportunities present
themselves.
Kristen is currently the Director of Human Resources for
Kadlec Regional Medical
Center in Richland, WA.
Kadlec is a 188 bed facility with 1800
employees. In her role, Kristen oversees all aspects of Human
Resources, as well as Employee and Occupational Health.
